The reason why the features below are not documented is that they are not complete and still subject to change at any time. You should not assume that they will be the same or even that they will be present in future releases.

  • -za99 - Sets the wcc compiler to C99 mode. (work in progress)
  • wdump - Executable Image Dump Utility, can be invoked with no parameters for list of options.
  • dmpobj - OMF Dump Utility, can be invoked with no parameters for list of options.
  • owcc - POSIX-style alternative to wcl386. This utility is documented in the C/C++ Tools User's Guide as of version 1.5.

The dmpobj tool produces human-readable formatted dumps of OMF object files and libraries. It understands a number of OMF variants and supports most object records. This utility is of interest primarily to developers of assemblers, disassemblers, compilers, linkers and similar tools, but may be occasionally useful to application developers.

The wdump tool produces human-readable formatted dumps of a wide variety of binary files. It supports DOS, Windows and OS/2 executable images, as well as PharLap, NLM, QNX and ELF executables. It also supports ELF and COFF object files. Furthermore, wdump understands debugging information in DWARF and Watcom formats, with rudimentary support for Microsoft CodeView and IBM HLL formats. wdump also doubles as a generic hexadecimal dump utility.
